In our cities, the air is being polluted by smoke from factories and from carbon monoxide gases emitted from motor vehicles. Water is polluted particularly as a result of untreated sewage. Industrial waste and insecticides alarmingly pollute water. Another form of pollution is sound pollution. It is caused due to noise from motor vehicles, domestic appliance, radio, cassette player and so on. The air we breathe, the water we drink, the food we take are not always absolutely pure for health. Environmental pollution leads us to the way of death. So to live a happy and healthy life, environmental pollution must be checked. For this, we should be conscious of the harmful effects of environmental pollution. Environment Pollution

Environment Pollution There are many causes of environment pollution, and the effect of environmental pollution is very dangerous. The elements of environment such as the air, water and soil are being polluted in various ways. Air is constantly being polluted by smokes. Smoke is produced when we cook food, burn bricks and refuse. It is also produced when we melt pitch for road construction. Innumerable buses, trucks and cars plying in big cities use petrol, diesel and oil. When these fuels are burnt, they create smoke and pollute the air. Mills and factories in large industrial areas also cause serious air pollution. Railway engines and power houses also pollute air. Again, water is polluted in many ways. Farmers use chemical fertilizers and insecticides on their lands. These are washed away by floods or rainwater and cause water pollution. Mills and factories throw their waste products into rivers and canals and thus pollute water. Again, motor launches and steamers pollute water by throwing oil, food waste and human waste. The ground we walk on in both urban and rural areas is polluted by uncollected garbage. Water is polluted particularly as a result of untreated sewage. Industrial wastes and insecticides alarmingly pollute water. All these pollutions have disastrous effect on human health and environment. Environmental pollution causes different kinds of diseases. Pollutions also destroy the ecological balance of the environment. Preventing environmental pollution is a must for ensuring a secured and peaceful life.

Environment Pollution

The environment refers to the air, water and land in which people, animals and plants live. Human beings, animals, plants, air, water and soil are the main elements of the environment. These elements should be pollution free for our healthy living. But when they are polluted and their essential balance is disrupted, it is called environmental pollution. Nowadays, almost everywhere, our environment is getting polluted. In many places of our country, the environment has become extremely polluted. We, ourselves, are responsible for this situation. Industries and factories emit huge amount of smoke, gases and fume. Motor vehicles also emit large amount of smoke and gases. All these cause air pollutions. Water is polluted from the dumping of industrial wastes and by chemical fertilizers and insecticides. Due to the indiscriminate use of vehicle horns, loudspeakers, microphones, etc. sound is polluted. Soil is polluted by harmful chemical fertilizers, pesticides and insecticides. Trees play an important role in the environment. Trees absorb carbon dioxide and produce oxygen. Thus, they save the environment. But trees are being cut down for different commercial purposes. This needs to be stopped for the sake of keeping our environment healthy. Environment pollution is a great threat to our existence. It changes the world's climate and brings about different kinds of natural disasters. Thus, the world is getting unsuitable for living. To make life healthy and comfortable, we should keep the environment clean and pollution free.

Environment Pollution

Harmful contamination of anything is called pollution. All our surroundings for including air, water, soil, trees, animals, etc. make up our environment. When the normal relations among these elements of nature are disturbed, the ecological balance is hampered, and it is called environmental pollution. It is a pity that the main elements of the environment which are essential for all living beings, are being polluted in many ways. Men are responsible for environmental pollution. Their inconsiderate activities are accelerating environmental pollution. The smoke from factories and motor vehicles contains harmful substances like carbon monoxide and Sulphur dioxide. These have hampered the cleanliness of the air. Mills and factories set up by riverbanks let out chemical wastes in the river water. These poisonous substances are destroying the plants and creatures of the waterbodies. Pesticides and chemical fertilizers used in agriculture are also polluting water. When people drink this water or take a bath in the polluted water, are attacked with stomach and skin diseases. Due to air pollution, carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is increasing which causes climate change. Due to climate change, various natural calamities such as storm, cyclone, flood, drought, heat wave, etc. are increasing day by day. Environment pollution can be rooted out by taking different measures. We may increase afforestation. If trees are planted in large numbers, we can be benefited in different ways. Trees also increase rainfall and prevent air pollution. Laws should be passed to prevent factories from dumping wastes into rivers.
